Terms and Conditions
Clear guidelines for a safe and transparent travel experience
📋 1. Acceptance of Terms
By confirming a trip with Inka Rainbow, you agree to the following guidelines, designed to ensure a clear, safe, and transparent process. We recommend reading each clause carefully before making your reservation.
💰 2. Bookings and Deposits
Itinerary confirmation
Once the client has accepted and confirmed the custom-designed travel package (ideally 90 days or more before the trip start date), the reservation process will proceed.
Initial deposit (50%)
An initial deposit of 50% of the total value will be required. This initial payment is essential to secure hotel reservations and proceed with the immediate purchase of non-refundable, high-demand tickets, especially Machu Picchu entrance tickets, Inca Trail permits, train tickets, and internal flights.
Reservation confirmation
Once the deposit is received, Inka Rainbow will proceed to confirm all contracted services, issuing the corresponding vouchers and sending the final confirmed itinerary to the client.
💳 3. Balance Payment
Deadline
The remaining 50% of the package value must be paid in full no later than 30 days before the arrival date at the destination.
Last-minute bookings
For bookings made less than 30 days in advance, 100% of the total payment will be required at the time of confirmation.
Payment methods
We accept bank transfers, deposits, credit/debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), and PayPal payments.
❌ 4. Cancellations and Refunds
We understand that plans can change. Cancellation policies vary depending on the notice period:
🔄 5. Itinerary Modifications
If the client wishes to modify dates, destinations, or contracted services:
- More than 30 days in advance: No additional cost, subject to provider availability.
- Between 15 and 30 days in advance: A 10% administrative fee will apply on the value of the modified services.
- Less than 15 days in advance: Modifications are not guaranteed; any changes will be subject to availability and additional costs from providers.
⚖️ 6. Responsibility of Inka Rainbow
Inka Rainbow acts as an intermediary agent between the traveler and service providers (airlines, hotels, transportation, guides, etc.). Our responsibility is limited to the proper management and coordination of the contracted services.
We are not responsible for:
- Delays, itinerary alterations, or additional expenses caused by force majeure events, such as adverse weather conditions, strikes, natural disasters, road or airport closures.
- Loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings during the trip.
- Cancellations or last-minute changes by independent providers.
- Health problems derived from altitude or other conditions inherent to the destination.
🛡️ 7. Travel Insurance
Highly recommended
It is highly recommended that all our travelers have valid comprehensive travel insurance.
Suggested coverage
Coverage should include at least: trip cancellation, baggage loss, medical emergencies, evacuation, and repatriation.
Medical assistance
In case of a medical emergency, Inka Rainbow will provide assistance to contact local health services, but costs will be borne by the traveler or their insurance.
📄 8. Required Documentation
The traveler is responsible for having the necessary documentation for entry into Peru and for the tours:
- Passport: Valid for at least 6 months from the date of entry into the country (for international travelers).
- National ID: For Peruvian travelers.
- Visa: If applicable according to nationality (consult the Peruvian consulate).
- Boarding pass and tickets: For internal flights and trains.
- Reservation vouchers: Provided by Inka Rainbow.
🔒 9. Personal Data Protection
Personal information provided by the client will be used exclusively for the management of the contracted services. Inka Rainbow guarantees the confidentiality of the data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
