Frequently Asked Questions

What type of accommodation does this tour include?

This tour includes accommodation in luxury hotels from the Luxury Collection: 3 nights at the Palacio del Inka in Cusco and 1 night at the Tambo del Inka in Urubamba. Both hotels feature heated pools, spas, first-class restaurants, and unique landscapes.

How do I prepare for the altitude in Cusco?

We recommend arriving at least one day in advance to acclimatize. Drink plenty of water, avoid heavy meals, and drink coca tea. Cusco is at 3,400 m / 11,155 ft above sea level, so it is advisable to take a few hours to get used to it before exploring the city.

What type of train is used to go to Machu Picchu?

The tour includes the Vistadome train (first class) from the Tambo del Inka hotel station (the only hotel in the Sacred Valley with its own station) to Aguas Calientes. The return is also on Vistadome. Optionally, you can upgrade to the luxury Belmond Hiram Bingham train.

Can I customize the itinerary?

Of course! This tour is 100% customizable. You can add more days, modify activities, choose specific hotels, or include additional experiences such as the Hiram Bingham train or Huayna Picchu tickets.

What happens if it rains during the tour?

The tour operates under any weather conditions. In case of rain, we provide rain ponchos and adapt activities as needed. Machu Picchu is especially mystical in the rain.

Can I climb Huayna Picchu mountain?

Yes, but it requires advance reservation (minimum 3-4 months in advance) because spaces are limited. It has an additional cost. Consult us at the time of booking to check availability.

What is the cancellation policy?

Cancellations more than 60 days in advance: 90% refund. Between 30-60 days: 70% refund. Between 15-30 days: 50% refund. Less than 15 days: no refund. We recommend purchasing travel insurance that covers cancellations.
